Tag It!

Good afternoon! I want to thank all of my followers! I have reached 50 so that means I get to add a Kenny K rubber stamp from Whimsy into the blog candy. Whoop whoop! 25 more to go and there will be a second drawing for a fabulous gift from Nicole at Inky Impressions. So be sure to tell your friends. :o) You never know what else may be added. :o)

If you have not visited the Inky Impressions blog today you may want to pop over and check out the announcement for the new design team. WOW! We have some amazing ladies joining us in September. I cannot wait!

For my tag today  I used Nickie's Birdie from Inky Impressions. Along with Inky rhinestones and an adorable Inky charm. I glues red paper in the back of the heart of the charm, for some added color since the background paper is black and white. The paper is from Crate Paper, which was gifted to me from the sweet Emily along with the gorgeous ribbon. I adore the red gingham!! Go check out her blog, she does beautiful work. The lace is from an old shirt and the brad is from Bo Bunny. I colored with Copics. You can't tell in the photo but her necklace and bracelet are sparkly (I used a glitter pen).

I am submitting this to the following places. I hope you will come play with us.
Incy Wincy: anything but a card
Paper Playtime: anything goes
Tammy's Scrapin Corner: anything goes

Crafter's Companion Inspiration

Good afternoon everyone! I hope this finds you well. I am almost done with my English class. I just have to finish up my research paper and take my final and then I will have two weeks off before I go back full-time. I am so ready for the break. :o) I had a meeting this morning to get sworn into office for the Student Government Association. So I am finally official. My name is even on the college website. I feel famous. lol

Today is my first day sharing a Crafter's Companion inspirational post. It has been so hot here in North Carolina so I thought I would take my mind to a cooler place and make a holiday card. I hope you enjoy it.

I used the Ultimate Tool to score my card base. The Ultimate Tool is fabulous for so many things. You should really check it out. The beautiful stamp I used is from Stamp-It Australia Holiday called "Linear Baubles." I colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers in JG6, DG3, BT1, BG4, and CR8.

I used glitter glue on the clear ornament and the tip of the snowflake die. I used a silver gel pen for the hangers on all of the ornaments. The paper is from Basic Grey.

Be sure to stop by the CC blog and leave a comment for your chance to win this beautiful stamp.

I am entering the following challenges:
Crafty Catz: all that glitters
Creatalicious: Christmas in July

Don't forget to enter my blog candy giveaway. We are only 2 followers away from me adding in a Kenny K stamp from Whimsy.

Artsy Tag

Good evening! I am sorry I am so late with my post for today. It has been a hectic few days. I still have not used my BIGkick. Isn't that awful! I have been scared I would break it. lol At 3:00 AM this morning I managed to watch some videos on how to use it and feel more comfortable now so we will see what tomorrow brings. My final draft and Powerpoint presentation for my major research paper are due on Tuesday so I have to get that finished and take my final on Friday. Then I have two off with no school. :o) Then it will be back to full-time school. I do love it, but I am going to miss having the extra craft time. Ok do not mean to bore you.

I wanted to share this quick project with you. I was feeling alittle artsy today,  not my ususal cutesy self. ;o) I hope you like it.

I am so excited!

Good morning! Before I get to my card for the new Inky Impressions challenge I just have to tell you that I am so excited. My hubby and my MIL got me a BigKick and two spellbinders (foliage and ovals). Since losing all of my craft supplies a couple years ago I was without a cutting machine (I use to have a Cricut), so I am over the moon about this! I have not had a go at playing with it yet, as it was late when everyone left last night, but I am definitely playing with it today after my Student Government meeting. I can't wait! If you have a favorite die I would love to hear what it is so I can check it out. I am sure my wish list is going to be long! lol

OK so enough about that and on to my Inky card. Ironically enough the challenge this week is dies or punches. I had to use punches this time. lol

I used punches for some of the flowers and twigs. I also used a corner rounder punch for the tag.

I used adorable Sassy Lili. I just love her and those little sandals are just so cute! I hope you like it.

I am entering these fabulous challenges. Come play with me!

Good morning! It is my turn to make an inspirational post over at Inky Impressions. I hope you will run over and say hi. :o)

The tab top I used for the gift card was precut, but you can easily cut your own. I used repositional tape to adhere the tab top to the gift card.

Just not right!

Good evening! I hope you had a wonderful day. I feel like my day was very non-productive. It seem to just fly right by with nothing being done. Hopefully tomorrow will be better. I did manage to make a card although I am not happy with it. I do not like the placement of the flowers, they're just not right. I kept moving them around and just could not come up with what I liked so I said the heck with it and just left them. I do love this adorable image from Whimsy Stamps though. Her name is Peggy, which is my mom's name. :o)

Harvest Day

Good evening. Sorry I am so late with my post. I had a hard time getting my mojo going today. I was up until 4 AM this morning. I just could not go to sleep. I got in the bed around 2 AM and still could not go to sleep so I got back up. Hopefully I can sleep toinight. I hope you all had a beautiful day!

I have a stack of images that colored at night while on vacation. I did not write down my Copic colors, but once i get through the colored images I have I will start including the colors I used. I know it is always handy to know the colors others use for their coloring. I am slowing getting better with my coloring. I started using Copics a month or so ago (before that I used colored pencils) and am starting to get the hang of them. I still have alot to learn, but I think I am on the right track. I don't have a large selection of colors, but I am grateful for the ones I do have. They are so much fun to work with. So, anyway here is my card for today. I hope you enjoy it.

Reminder: Inky Impressions is holding a DT call! It closes this Monday evening so be sure to get your creation submitted. I would love to work with some of you fabulous artists! :o)

School Approaching

Well it will not be long before I am back in school full time for the fall semester. Alittle over a month to go. Then it will be back to six classes and secretary duties for the Student Government Association. I love school, but I have really been enjoying some down time. Only taking one class this summer has left me alot more time to craft. BTW, my English class is going well. I have received an A on all of my assignments so far. I used Nickie's Birdie from Inky Impressions (which is on sale) on my card today. This image is so pretty! I also used a jelly rhinestone from Inky Impressions on her hair bow and Inky pearls for accent. The papers are from Recollections. I used my Ultimate Tool from Crafter's Companion to score my card base. I am so blessed to work for two fabulous companies. :o)

I have a few things to share before I get to my card. First of all thank you to everyone for all of the wonderful comments while I was gone. I will slowly go through what I missed, but  I am not sure I will get to comment on everything.

Inky is a fabulous company to work for and their products are awesome.  I am so happy to once again be a Senior DT Coordinator for them. There are lots of great things coming that you do not want to miss out on.

OK on to my card. I made this card before we left. I wanted to have something to share when we got back as I knew I would not have time (or energy) to craft today. I used Apple Blossom from Whimsy Stamps. I just love her. The adorable charm and beautiful disco ball rhinestones are from Inky Impressions. The disco ball rhinestones are so awesome looking.
