Bow-legged Cutie

Good evening! It has been a pretty good day in the Hopkins' house. :o) I got my most recent assignment back from English class with a rave review. My instructor wrote "Truly excellent work. I made a couple of random comments on the file. 100/A+. A pleasure to look at such a well written project." I am so thrilled. I have held a 4.0 GPA for three semesters and I am so paranoid of messing it up. OK enough of my babbling.

It is Wednesday, so that means a new Inky Impressions' challenge: red, white, and blue. We are being sponsored this week by Kenny K Downloads! The other DT girls did a fabulous job! I hope you will go check them out. Come play along, I would love to see what you create! You do not have to use an Inky Impressions' image, although we would love it if you did! Don't forget about the Inky Impressions DT call. You can find all of the information HERE.

OK now for my card today.

Club Kid & Whimsy Stamps

Good afternoon! I hope this finds you well. I just have to give a shout out to Whimsy Stamps. I received a gift card on Wednesday and placed an order with Whimsy. Well my stamps arrived on Friday! Talk about fast service. I am very impressed!

I wanted to do something alittle different. I used jean looking card stock and made a pocket by shading my faux stitching and around the edged of the pocket shape I cut out. I wish I still had my sewing machine so I could have done real stitching, but I am still pretty happy with the way it turned out. So much so that I went back and added the butterfly so it would fit the Kenny K challenge this week. :o) I am also entering it into a few other challenges which are all listed down below.

Back to my Roots Kind Of

Hi! I hope you had a great day! My day was frustrating. There was an error in my operating system so I went to restore my computer and the date said May 11 so I clicked the button and realized it was May of last YEAR which is when I got my computer. It wiped everything out of it and returned it to the way it was when I bought it. So I was up until 4 a.m. trying to get everything put back in it. I am thankful that I save all important files to a thumb drive as a backup. But everything is fixed now. Yay!

I am so happy with the way this card turned out. It took me back to my painting days. I was a decorative painter for years and my favorite thing to paint was scenery. I will share some pictures tomorrow.

I have some exciting news to share with you soon! :o) Sorry for being so chatty tonight.

I used about five Copics, Prisma pencils, and peeled a paint distressed ink pad (to watercolor the ground and part of the trees). This was so much fun. More Copics are definitely on my "to get list." I hope you like it as much as I do.

Until next time.........

Busy, Busy!

I have a super busy week ahead. I have two assignments due for English tomorrow, a meeting for the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) on Thursday, my daughter’s graduation on Friday and a family gathering to celebrate on Sunday. I am tired just thinking about it all. Ha!  It is hard to believe my baby is graduating from high school. Where did the time go! OK let’s get to my project before I get all teary eyed. I used free image from Anji's Antics. Isn't it beautiful! I knew I wanted to use it as soon as I seen it.

I hope you will come play along with me at the following challenges:

Tag You're It!

Hello, hello! I hope this post finds you well. I have been alittle scatter brained today. I could not sleep last night; I was up until 3 a.m.  So my brain has not functioned well today. Ha! I am behind on visiting everyone's blogs but will try to get caught up as soon as I can. Thank you for understanding.

The challenge this week at Cupcake Craft is "tag you're it." For some reason the green stripes on the paper is not showing as true in the picture. It is actually a lighter shade of the green button and cake. I took about 25 pictures and could not get it right so said the heck with it. lol
