Good evening! I hope you had a great day. The card I made today uses a distressed technique. I love the way it turned out. I have always loved to distress, however I was always scared of going "to far". Well I watched a video with a lot of distressing for a card and it gave me confidence to do more. The video is from Kristin Wilson. The technique is called peek a boo paper.
Recipe:
Cup image: free digi from Bits N Bobs
Decoration on cup: Tim Holtz French Connection
Paper: Garden Florals from Recollections
Gems: Recollections
Ribbon: Details & Accessories (ruban)
Pin from stash
I am entering this card in the following challenges:
The Hybrid Chick: use pink
Totally Gorjuss: something new (paper)
Truly Scrumptious: pretty in pink
Charisma Cardz: bling
Crafty Cardmakers: distress it
Thank you for all of the sweet comments I have been receiving. You all are the best! Until next time......

Thank you and Father's Day
Hello all of my crafty pals. I want to start today by saying thank you to everyone who has left such sweet comments and who have become followers of my new blog. A little back story I was away for a couple of years due to some personal issues and in the process lost all of my crafting supplies. I had some wonderful ladies send some of their stash to get me crafting again. I went to delete one of my Google accounts and it wiped out my entire craft blog. I almost cried. I had years of crafts posted, hundreds of followers and all of my awards that I had won on that blog and in an instant it was gone. :o( So I set up this one. I am so happy to be back to crafting and looking at everyone's gorgeous work. I still feel sad when I think of all of the great content I lost on my old blog but hey I get to start fresh right! I just wanted you all to know that your comments and the fact that you are choosing to follow me (whether you are an old friend or a new pal) means more to this gal than you know!

Tag and President's List
I am so excited. I received my President's List letter today from school. After three semesters I am still holding a 4.0 GPA. I was so scared to go to school and now I wonder why I did not do it sooner. It has given me confidence, allowed me to meet some wonderful people, and has given me a sense of accomplishment I had never had. I was a wife and mom and although I knew I was good at that I felt that is where my accomplishments ended and now that feeling has changed. This tag I made really says it all....."The Journey Awakens the Soul". Yes it does!!
I started out with a bright white tag. Distressed it with Martha Stewart "walnut" ink. I then stamped the background using the same ink (I stamp once on a piece of scrap so the image would be light). I then stamped the remaining images with Memento "Tuxedo Black". All stamps are from Tim Holtz. I added some off white ribbon that I distressed.
These Tim Holtz stamps were sent to me to give me some supplies to start creating again after loosing all of my supplies. I must say I adore them! The designs are so fabulous and they are really easy to work with. I hope you like what I have done with them.

I am not sure what paper it is. I had some ladies send me some supplies to get me crafting again and this was some of the paper they sent.
