Quick and Easy Gift Card Holders

Hey everyone! I hope this post finds you all well. Do you have people in your life that are super hard to buy for? I know I sure do. Gift cards were such a fabulous invention for these people. ;o) I love to make my own gift card holders. It just makes them alittle more special I think. Today I am sharing two gift card holders I made. They are super easy to make and you can decorate them as little or as much as you like.

Start out with a piece of cardstock that is 5" by 8". Score at 1 3/4" and 5" along the long side. Then score at 1/4" and 4 3/4" on the short side. Cut out the small pieces on both sides of the top and bottom so you only have the middle pieces on each side. Fold the small pieces in, add strong glue along the small pieces, and then fold the larger side so it adheres to the small pieces. Use a corner rounder on the top flap. Decorate as desired.

This is what it should look like after it has been scored and cut. Minus the writing of course. lol

Gift card #1: All is Calm digi by Inky Impressions, paper from K&Company, jute from My Craft Spot.

Gift card #2: All is Calm digi and gems from Inky Impressions, paper from K&Company, ribbon from MFT.
The back of gift card #2

Quick and easy. Perfect for this time of year.

I am playing in the following challenges.
Creative Moments: anything but a card
Stamp n Doodle : anything goes
Ladybug Crafts Ink TLT Challenge: anything goes for Christmas

I want to remind you about my blog candy.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Just Add Coffee

You can find my blog candy here.

Wow, can you believe Christmas is only five days away? Are you ready? I still have tons of stuff to do. I have been such a bad girl and keep putting things off. Looks like I might be getting coal for Christmas. lol   My card today is proof of the fact that I have been procrastinating. I made this for the Saturated Canary challenge, but once again I am a day late. *sigh* Oh well, there is just not enough time in the day for everything. The image is of course from Saturated Canary. It was a freebie that was offered for a limited time. The sentiment is from Skipping Stones Designs. I just love this sentiment and image together. The gems and charm are from Inky Impressions, the ribbon is from Paper Issues, and the doily is from Wilton. The button and paper are from my stash. I also used a deco fan boarder punch from Martha Stewart that I won from Jacque.

I found these pink staples at the college bookstore. I just love them! The pearl in her hair is from Inky Impressions. I used liquid pearls on the buttons of her coat.

I made a gift card puch to put on the inside for a "coffee house" gift card.

I am entering the following challenges:
Paper Shelter Challenge: anything goes
Vickie's Challenges: anything goes
Love to Create : anything goes
Tammy's Scrapin Corner : anything goes

Thank you so much for visiting me. It always makes my day. Have a super Thursday!

Although it is called an ornament gift box it can be used for a variety of things; cards, stationary, candy etc.

I used Lili's Prayer from Inky Impressions and colored her with Prisma pencils. The gems are from Inky Impressions. The flowers are from Prima and the brads are from Recollections. The sentiment is from The Angel Company.  The tag is from the office supply store and the paper is from my stash. I hope you like my project. I would love to see your creation using the tutorial. Just a Note

Hey everyone. How are you? Our 70 degree weather has left and we are in the 50's again. It was great while it lasted. I have lunch plans with my mom and then it is studying for my finals tomorrow.

I am really happy with the way this card turned out. This is my favorite stamp from Your Next Stamp. I just think she is so darn cute. The paper is from MME. I made the tag using a piece of kraft cardstock, a corner rounder and eyelet. The ribbon and hemp cord is from MFT. The Inky Dinky Drops are from Inky Impressions. The doily is from Wilton and the button and flower sprig is from my stash. I used Copics to color. I added glitter to her duster and glitter glue to the bee's wings. I ran a zig zag stitch on the middle layer of papers and added a piece of MME paper that I punched with a doily boarder punch from Martha Stewart.

I am playing in the following challenges:

Sweet Dreams

Hey everyone. I hope you had a great day. It has been in the 70's here, can you believe that? I won't complain though. This is my favorite weather. It is very odd that we have it in December though. lol I also must admit it makes it difficult to get in the Christmas spirit. That's ok though it is suppose to start cooling off again soon.

I decided to play in the Tiddly Inks challenge this week. The theme was to create a project using one of their DT members (Marlena) cards as inspiration. I used the layout and pearls as my inspiration. I hope she likes it. I used the image from Tiddly Inks called Sweet Dreams Wryn. I am loving her hat. This image was so quick and easy to color.

I used pearls from Inky Impressions, ribbon from PaperIssues, a  doily from Wilton, lace, tulle, paper, and pink staples from my stash. I also used a Martha Stewart scallop circle punch. I colored with Copics: C3, RV10, R20, E00, E11, E79, E37, E35, E41, W3, W5.

I am also playing in the following challenges:
