Well it is 9:30 here............it will be 2013 in just a couple of  hours. I hope you have a blessed New Year!

I had a great time at every one's favorites list, so I decided to play along too. Here are my top 12 cards of 2012. In no particular order. You can click on each photo to go to the original post.

I really love everything about this card. Does that sound bad? lol

Look at this Saturated Canary image, need I say more? ;o)

I love the paper on this card.

It is rare that I make a simple card I like, but I really like the way this one turned out.

I really like the paper and colors of this one. I love the image. I knew I wanted it as soon as I saw it.

As you may have seen earlier today this is my favorite card with a Mo image. I adore the paper. I really need to find some more like it.

This is one of my favorite Inky Impressions images. I really like the colors of this one.

This card just makes me think of my childhood and Disney World. I adore this sweet image from Sassy Cheryl's.

This card is alot different than my normal style (no colored image), but I love the way it turned out.

I adore this Your Next Stamp image and the paper.

I really like the colors of this one. The image from MFT is super cute.

I like the paper and colors of this one and of course the adorable Mo image. Every time I see it I think of my daughter.

Favorite Mo Manning Card

Happy New Year's Eve, everyone. Do you have any big plans for tonight? Are you going to relax at home, go out on the town, or visit a friend? Whatever you decide to do to celebrate please be safe. We will probably spend a relaxing night at home celebrating with friends.

Over at Mo's Digital Pencil they want to see our favorite Mo card that we created during 2012. Honestly it is hard not to love a card made with a Mo image. They are so c-A-ute! After looking through my Mo cards I believe this one is my favorite. I love this image. As soon as I seen it I knew I had to have it. I also love the paper and colors. I am happy with the coloring on the pan as well.

I hope you will play along. I would love to see YOUR favorite card featuring a Mo image.

Only a few more days to enter my blog candy.

Happy New Year! May 2013 bring you everything your heart desires.

Thankful for 2012

It is hard to believe that 2012 is almost over. It has been a great crafting year. My first post on my new blog (after taking a few years off) was in May. Since then I have met some wonderful people and got reacquainted with some old friends. I have been introduced to some fabulous companies and challenge blogs. I have accumulated two Iris carts full of supplies. It is no where near what I use to own, but it is a great start. I had my first experience with Copics, which I totally love and I coordinate an awesome group of ladies on the Inky Impressions DT. I cannot express how much it means to me to be back creating. I feel so blessed! Ok I will stop rambling. Now onto today's card. :o)

I made this for the Saturated Canary challenge. Here is the photo to be used as inspiration.

I decided to use Princess Red Rose because it and the top, right inspiration photo both have a tree. I also gained inspiration from the colors, sparkle, round bulbs, and tree needles in the photos.

Other supplies:
Ribbon - Paper Issues
Gems & Pearls - Inky Impressions
Fancy Flourish die - MFT
Punches - Marth Stewart
Paper - my stash

All Cozy

Howdy! Brrrr! It has been cold and raining here today. I have stayed in my PJ's all day. ;o) Sometimes it is nice just to have a lazy day. I thought the Kraftin Kimmie challenge would be the perfect challenge to work on today since the theme is "cozy".

I used an adorable Kraftin Kimmie image designed by Cheryl Alger from the Lulu and Friends stamp set. Doesn't she look cozy in her PJ's and slippers? The sentiment is from PTI. I used a doily from Wilton, gems from Inky Impressions, ribbon from MFT, jute twine from My Craft Spot, a scalloped circle punch and doily boarder punch from Martha Stewart. The paper and button are from my stash. I stamped with Memento ink and colored with Copics.

Don't forget to enter my blog candy giveaway by January 4. You do not have to be a follower to enter, although you will receive an additional entry if you are.

Handmade Gifts Part 1

Good morning! I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas. Ours was fabulous. The last couple of months have been a little rough financially due to my hubby being in construction, so the gifts were limited this year, but I honestly believe it was one of the best we have ever had. We had so much fun! My husband, girls and I spent it with my parents, sister and one of my sisters friends who does not have family in the area. We had great food and loads of laughs. My stomach literally hurt from laughing so much. I feel truly blessed.

My sister, Tiffany, was an English major and she loves to read and write. I like to call her "artsy".  I made her a gift basket (which I will share at a later time) and put these bookmarks that I made in it. She loved them. The quote about a room without books made her tear up. She said "that is so true".  I used the MFT, Bookmark Duo stamp and die set. The ribbon and hemp cord are from MFT, DP is from K&Company,  jute twine is from My Craft Spot, and the background stamp (left bookmark) is from Inkadinkado. The button, lace and brad are from my stash.

Here are a couple of the note cards I put in the basket as well. These are different than my normal style, but they are her style. They are very simple and flat for easy mailing.

The paper are again from K&Company. The jute twine is from My Craft Spot, the ribbon is from Paper Issues, the gems (first card) are from Inky Impressions, and the monogram stamp is out of the dollar bin at Michael's. I used my Tim Holtz paper distresser on the edges and inked them with Chalk ink in Chestnut Roan.

There is only about a week left to enter to win my blog candy.

I am submitting these to the following challenges:
Simon Says Stamp: anyting goes
Try It On Tuesday: Pick 4 (die cuts, ribbon, distressing, and sentiment)
Tuesday Alchemy: anything goes
The Pink Elephant Monday Card Challenge: anything goes

I hope you enjoyed your visit today. Come back tomorrow for part 2; the gift basket I made  my sister and the other note cards I included inside of it.

Thank you so much for stopping by. Until next time...........

Hey everyone! Christmas is almost here. I have been busy today with last minute preperations.  I won't keep you, I know you are probably busy too. I always try to include something hand-made with my families gifts. I made this little goodie box and filled it with candy for my sister. It was quick and easy and looks super cute. I made some other ones that I will share with you later.

The image and sentiment were free digis from the fabulous Whimsie Doodles.
