Pack Light

I would first like to say to everyone in the path of Sandy, you are in my thoughts. Please stay safe!

My legal paper for medical ethics and legal class was turned in today and I cannot express how thrilled I am to have that behind me. I have been so stressed over it. As soon as I handed it to Mrs. Kahler, it was like a weight was lifted off of me. Whoop whoop! :O)

The card I am sharing today is using one of my my favorite Saturated Canary images, Pack Light. She has the most beautiful face and I love her hair.

I used ribbon, twice, mini rolled rose die, felt, and fancy flourish die from MFT, pearls from Inky Impressions, paper from Recollections, and a Martha Stewart leaf punch. The charm and button are from my stash. I colored with Copics.

Hand Me Downs

Good morning! Since I live on the coast of NC I have been keeping a close eye on the weather. It looks we will not get the brunt of the storm, thank goodness. I am still worried about some floosing and power outages. Everyone in the path of the storm please prepare and stay safe!

My legal paper is due, Monday so after that I should be able to "breath easier" and have more time to for crafting. I will be so happy!! This paper had been brutal.

For my card today I used a Saturated Canary image called Hand Me Downs. I thought this was such a cute image to make a Christmas card. I hope you like it.

The pearls are from Inky Impressions. I used a Hero Arts , cardstock and boarder punch is from Recollections, cord from MFT, and a bell and pin from my stash. The DP, ribbon and star button were gifts from my friend Dilyana.

Birthday Wishes

Oh my goodness it felt wonderful to create. It has been days since I had the opportunity to create something and I was going through withdrawals. I have been so busy with school and SGA duties. The new catalog of classes just came out for next semester. This will be the last time I have to pick out classes. May will be here before I know it and I will be a college graduate. It will be a bittersweet moment.

I just love this little image from Fred She Said. It was so easy and fun to color. I used paper from Recollections, pearls from Inky Impressions, ribbon, button, cord, and Fancy Flourish die from MFT, and sentiment from PTI. I colored with Copics.

Thank you so much for your continued support. Your comments mean so much to me. I hope you have a fabulous week.

Chess Tilda and Candy Reminder

Howdy friends. Sorry I have not been around lately. I have not been feeling the best. I can't pinpoint what is wrong though. I just have felt blah. I had a four-day weekend from school, and that has helped some. I think I was just on overload with everything that I have had to do lately. I am so thankful for the long weekend.

I enjoyed making some cards just for fun this morning. The one I am sharing with you today is featuring the always cute Chess Tilda, although I turned her into Jam Tilda by sitting her atop of the Lace Jar. I ordered both of these from Magnolia-licious with a gift certificate I won from Karen G. If you have not seen her work you must go check it out. She is SO talented. This was my first order from Magnolia-licous and I am super impressed with their customer service. I cannot rave about them enough. Ok, on to my card.

MFT Guest Designer Contest

Happy World Card Making Day, friends! I hope you can find time to create on this special day.

The card I have for you is for the Guest Designer contest at My Favorite Things (MFT) using the MFTGUESTDT1012 sketch. I adore MFT. Their products are creative and inspiring and their design team is one of the very best around. Anyone would be honored to be a guest, so I am throwing my hat in the ring.

I used stamps from the Pure Innocence Prehistoric Girl stamp set. Isn't she a doll! I love her. She reminds me of the Flintstones. I think that may have just dated me. lol Anyway,  I stamped her with Memento ink, colored her with Copic markers and fussy cut her out. I paper pieced her outfit. To make her outfit I colored a piece of white cardstock with Copic markers and used a colorless blender to make the spots. I also paper pieced the bone in her hair and popped it up using a pop dot. I placed her on one of  the Rounded Banner Stax that I cut from MME paper and distressed. I added rhinestones, ribbon, a button, a hat pin, and a charm.

If you have not visited MFTs lately you should head on over and take a peek. They have new MME paper pads in stock, which are gorgeous. They also offer a large variety of buttons and ribbons to match their heavyweight premium cardstock for a perfect match every time. Not to mention all of the fabulous stamps and Die-namics.

I am also entering the following challenges:
Card Crafter's Circle: autumn colors
Simply Create Too: fall/autumn
Southern Girls: spots and stripes
Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenges: die cuts and punches

A day late and a dollar short

Hey everyone. I hope you had a great weekend. I have not felt so great the last few days. On top of that my daughter (12) went to bend down to pick something up and hit her mouth on the footboard of the bed and her tooth went through the bottom of her lip. OUCH! :o( My poor baby, there was so much blood. I swear I do not know how it did not knock out her teeth. She was so brave and I am so proud of her. She is going to be ok thank goodness! Although, she will probably have a scar. Anyway sorry to get off track.

I made this card a couple days ago for the Kenny K challenge (fruit), but like they say I was a day late and a dollar short. And of course wouldn't you know, it does not fit this week's theme. That's my luck. lol

I used Queens Cutie from Kenny K and a chair from Bugaboo. The ticket is from Inkadinkado. The paper is from Crate Paper and Recollections. The pearls are from Inky Impressions and the button is from Favorite Findings. I used Copics to colors. The ribbon and lace are from my stash.

Sweet n Sassy: hip to be square
The Paper Shelter: anything goes
